Kenzi is originally from the Midwest where she found her start in digital marketing. After gaining experience with design and creative software in college, she became a social media manager and engagement specialist for a private company in Burnsville, MN. She loves to be challenged by complex problem solving and jumps at any opportunity to stretch her creativity. Kenzi moved to North Carolina in 2019 and began working with Vivid shortly after. She has worked successfully with social media, digital advertising, graphic design, website design, and more. Kenzi and her husband Phil, have recently taken ownership of VDM and look forward to continuing the rewarding work of helping small businesses thrive.
Kenzi studied design at South Dakota State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture.
Kenzi prides herself on her ability to help businesses find and effectively communicate their brand message. She enjoys getting to know each client personally to understand their needs and determine the best solutions to aid in their success. With a background in digital marketing, social media management, graphic design, and website design, she is uniquely able to capture the larger picture of a brand. Kenzi is proficient with Webflow, Adobe Creative Suite, multiple CRM platforms, and social media at large.
After competitively racing sailboats with her husband on the lakes of Minnesota, Kenzi moved to North Carolina to get some salt on her sails. She enjoys being outdoors and finding new adventures with her German shepherd mix, Ayda.
Phil has over 10 years of experience in the field. He began building small websites before attending college for Software Engineering. While attending school, Phil worked in various technology roles, including campus tech support and multiple software development positions at publicly traded companies and on government contracts. After graduating, Phil worked for 7 years as part of a development team, building applications to support and grow business operations at an international manufacturing business. Over this entire period, Phil has been building websites and rich web accessible applications. He is always pushing himself to learn new design and web technologies.
Phil graduated from South Dakota State University in 2015, where he received a Bachelors of Science in Software Engineering.
Phil has experience working with and designing scalable solutions for small, medium and large businesses. He enjoys building mobile friendly, immersive web experiences that push the limits of the platform. On top of professional design building, he specializes in interactive software solutions. Phil is great at recommending and building the right solution, the first time, that fits the current needs and processes of a business, while remaining flexible to scale and grow in the future. He is proficient in multiple programming languages, various web technology stacks, and current industry standards.
Phil grew up in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN, and returned to the area after college. Over the summers, he enjoyed camping in the boundary waters and fishing. In the winters, snowboarding was his favorite activity. However, since moving to North Carolina in late 2019, his pastimes see many less snowy days! Phil and Kenzi started sailing in Minnesota, and now spend most of their free time doing so on their 1979 CSY 37 sailboat.
Meg recently moved to Brunswick County from the DC area. She worked there as the Vice President of Marketing for the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Her 30+ year career included developing and marketing products for new home sales and marketing staff, NAHB brand management, as well as having oversight of marketing for the home building industry's biggest event, The NAHB International Builders' Show.
Meg started out at American University in Washington, DC before transferring to and graduating from the University of Toledo, in Toledo, Ohio, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
Meg likes problem-solving, where she can figure out the best and most cost-efficient ways to solve a specific issue. She prides herself on finding creative ways to solve a problem, but also staying within a specific budget. As a people-person (aka extrovert), Meg loves working on teams, whether as a team leader or a team member. And, as are most marketing people, Meg considers herself a pretty good writer and copy editor.
Meg grew up in a small town outside of Chicago, but moved to the Washington, DC area after college. Meg moved to Brunswick County in 2018, and quickly picked up some new hobbies, which include various card games and pottery. When our lovely coastal weather permits, Meg likes to get outside to go biking or play pickleball. She's an avid reader and reads more than 50 books a year. Growing up in Brunswick County allowed Hannah to discover her love for marketing and social media. During her college career, Hannah was extremely active at UNC Charlotte where she was the Internal Vice President, President, and Intern for the Business Honors Program, Social Media Ambassador for Charlotte Admissions, and Who's Who Recipient. She has worked for Vivid since her sophomore year of college and enjoys helping clients hone their digital presence.
Hannah graduated with honors from UNC Charlotte where she received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Marketing and minor in International Management. She is currently pursuing an MBA in Marketing.
Hannah takes pride in her leadership and organizational skills. She is known to step up to the plate in order to achieve what is needed and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She has experience with maintaining social media platforms for the purpose of branding and is skilled in iMovie, Final Cut Pro, Microsoft Applications, Lightroom, Meta Business Suite, and Canva.
After growing up in Brunswick County, Hannah knew she wanted to call the coast her home. You can often find her on the beach with her friends, family, and little dog, Bear. She loves to read by the pool, listen to Taylor Swift, and talk about the next place she wants to travel to. Whether it’s doing yoga, attending a dance class, or taking Bear on a walk, Hannah tries to remain active each day.
